Introduction of our HEC---Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose :

CAS Number: 9004-62-0
Formula Structure: [C6H7O2(OH)2OCH2COONa]n
    HEC is widely used in water base latex coating, construction
and building material, printing ink and oil drilling, etc. Except its
multifunctional character as thickener, dispersant, emulsifier
and film former, it is known for its following characteristics:
 

HEC dissolves in both cold and hot water. It does not precipitate in hot or boiled water;
HEC co-exists with other water-soluble polymers, surface-active agents and salts.
HEC is double effective in water retention than MC, showing better flow adjusting ability.
HEC is more stable in viscosity and more effective in anti mildew. When applied for coatings, showing good open-can effect as well as excellent floating-plain effect.
